My 1st post in 2011

Everytime i swear here to blog regularly, i overcome it.. So my next Swear is 'not Swearing in blogs'.. :)
B'Day Celebrations..
On October 6th i reached Haris room at 7.30pm.. Arun and prabhakaran took me from bus stand to room.. Prabhakaran has put on some weight in these 1.5 years.. Haris room was big.. TV was also there.. And Unlimited Internet.. So there is no deficit for entertainment which is same like our room in B.E.. Arun prepared some nice dinner.. He really cooks well.. No wonder everyone in room calls him as Chef Master.. I went to sleep around 10.45pm.. But didn't sleep till 12.. And as expected they started my B'day celebrations..They had ordered for a cake.. Exactly when i bent down to cut it, they broke egg pieces on my head.. And added glamour to my face with cream :) Then i tried to hug everyone and every one ran in fear.. That was fun..Friends are my Strength and weakness.. Then i had bath in warm water and went to sleep.. The next morning i got ready.. Arun and prabhakaran google'd the bus route also... So i started to TCS and found the exact location with the help of Google Maps.. Its really a good mobile application..

The office was not so big..Not at all like a S/w company..It was like a big house actually...All d 7 met Mr.Paul.. He gave us a Bond Sheet to Sign.. It was a 7 page sheet.. In all the 7 pages atleast 10 words are 'Confidential'.. Some interview was going there.. We were asked to come on monday.. (After 3 days).. I came back to room and started to home in Mangalore Express.. And went to college on Friday.. Then on Monday i went back to TCS.. Met Maya's uncle.. Spoke to him.. His Tamil knowledge is upto the knowledge of a typical Tamil actress...Then we met paul.. We were asked to come back again on tuesday.. And Maya was the 1st one to get a project related to her domain.. Lucky.. Then it took 5 more days for the VLSI Students to get project related to their domain..They got in Bangalore.. Only i and suresh left.. Both of us are not willing to go out of Chennai.. We were asked to go to Thoraipakkam TCS branch for a SAP project.. The Project lead Rafiquee was kind enough to warn us.. He said the project is not at all related to Automobiles or Electronics.. Also he told that the project will end in FEB.. So we again came back to Paul.. Paul told us to give him some time to find suitable projects for us.. He also said us not to bother about Stipend as they will credit it from OCT-11th itself..Atlast we were given a Telecommunication project. The project was on the same Thoraipakkam office but on a different floor.. ('Stilt' they call).. We went there and got introduced to Bala Sir.. He was so nice.. He explained that the project was also not all related to our domain.. Later both of us convinced ourselves to take up this project as we dont want to disturb Paul anymore..

This office is really huge.. This building will match everyone's imagination about a big IT company.. They have built security entry for all doors..(Using a CDMA module.. I don't know the exact technology).. So every time we need some one's help to enter into or exit from the wing.. Thanks to them for not keeping security entries for the restrooms..Otherwise the situation would have went very worse..:) The project which is going there was for British Telecommunication(BT).. For the first one week i was asked to study PL-SQL.. And Suresh was given Java.. Then one fine(Actually 'Worst' which we realized later) day we were shifted to Testing team.. First we were really happy that atlast we can start working.. Testing team leader was Sangamani.. He gave a detailed description for Testing with the example of a building construction for 2 hours(horrible:( )..Then he introduced us to the team members.. The first work they gave us is to update the defects in hp Quality Centre.. Its not a difficult or big thing to learn.. For the 1st few days i was so sincere and got irritated some times about Suresh's comments about the work and his laziness.. Then we were asked to test a particular application of the software they have developed.. Its also not a big difficult task.. Actually anyone with a knowledge of English and some basic knowledge about computers can do it.. Days Passed by.. Slowly we started to realise that Sangamani is like a dictator.. He asked us to come to office by 10AM and should leave only at 8 PM.. Even he asked me to walk for 6kms daily to reach office by time.. I slowly started to hate the job..
Devatha's help..
A girl called Devatha got shifted from hydrebad TCS to our team.. I requested her to lend her voice to call Archana's house to get 'my angel's' contact no. She tried two times.. But don't know why Archana's mom didn't give the number.. She even said that they don't know any such girl.. All my efforts went in vain..
Cognizant Interview..
CTS interview was scheduled on 2nd december.. We got leave from TCS for a week saying that we have project review.. On dec 2nd PPT session was there.. On 3rd we had Aptitude session.. Aptitude session was easy.. English was a bit tough..I messed up the timings for English session.. The results came on the evening at about 7.30PM.. I found my name in the list.. All my friends name was also there...My parents are happy.. The next day I had Technical Cum HR round.. My HR was really nice.. I was the first person in the 65th panel.. Questions are Why did you choose Automotive Electronics, What is your weakness, What is the diff bw Team leader,project leader and project manager and many questions from the form which i had filled on the previous day... And mainly about project.. Initially i struggled.. Unable to get the words flowing but later i got going.. And he asked how will i eliminate the collision of RFID signals between vehicles.. I was really strucked and bluffed and asked water from the HR to hide my shock for that brilliant question from a HR who might be an MBA graduate.. Then finally he verified my certificates and asked me when did i complete my DCA.. I told him that i finished that when i was in 8th.. Then he asked me to leave..The results was said to be announced on the next day..
CTS Results..
Almost the whole final year students got gathered in anna auditorium.. The Official from CTS told that 1643 students got in..Pullabothra, our Placement Don jumped like a kid.. Everyone gave a standing aviation.. Many shouted in joy.. Maadev cried.. What a nice character he is? Finally the list was rolled.. All our friends who attended, got in.. Everyone were hugging thier friends..I called my mom, kumar mama, Malakka and told them..Its 2nd time for Dharmendra.. Everyone was happy.. Happiness was there in the air..What a nice college is this.. Its worth studying here.. 1643 is an Indian record.. Unbelievable.. Thanks VIT.. :)
